Description
Our client a leading bank owned asset financier are seeking to hire a Business Development Manager to further develop their presence in Scotland.
You role will be to develop both new business and manage existing relationships and will be focused typically on transactions sizes of £250,000 + in both the corporate and commercial sectors.
You will develop business across a wide variety of assets classes and from both the parent bank, intermediary sources and from self generated activity. You will be targeted to achieve c£25M per annum of new business at acceptable margins.
Candidate Profile
You will be located in the central lowlands with easy access to either Edinburgh or Glasgow but also be willing to travel throughout Scotland as required.
Our client seeks an experienced and successful general asset finance specialist rather than an asset specialist. A direct to corporate asset finance background is required and you should have considerable experience of working at CFO , CEO level with customers & ideally also have a background of having worked for a bank owned funder.
You must be a hungry, focused , self starter, able to work autonomously but as part of a team and will have a well developed knowledge of the full range of asset finance products and strong commercial experience and effective credit appraisal skills.
You will possess the gravitas and presence to command both the respect and active support of your bank colleagues and have the skills to be able to demonstrably add value to their customer relationships.
Base salary range to early / c mid £40’s with all usual bank based benefits including a company car , plus the potential to earn additional bonus income based on your performance.
