Working in motor/consumer finance we are seeking law graduate to work as a legal and compliance advisor with:
- Litigation experience with ability to issue legal proceedings, draft pleadings, deal with attendant legal correspondence and represent the Company in Court in relation to debt recovery and/or
- Banking/Asset finance law experience, dealing with documentation, deeds of priorities, facility letters, debentures, guarantees and indemnities, releases and non-crystallisation letters
- Strong general legal skills and ability for drafting and reviewing legal documentation
- Contract negotiation skills
- Ability to carry out legal research
- Ability to provide reasoned legal advice at short notice
In addition it would be desirable if the candidate has:
- In-house legal experience
- Legal and regulatory compliance experience
- Experience within motor finance or finance industry
- Practical approach to legal problem solving
- Understanding of Corporate Governance
- Knowledge of Consumer Credit Act 1974, Data Protection Act 1998, Money Laundering Regulations and Financial Services Authority Regulations.
You will be working in motor / consumer finance dealing with documentation such as deeds of priorities, facility letters and debentures as well as dealing with legal proceedings including representing the company in court.
