Description

Our client a leading asset financier requires an office based Sales Desk Team Leader to be responsible for the execution of the commercial sales activities for all used financing across the UK business, of all light commercial vehicle business & all compact construction equipment assets

•You will manage the Sales Desk team to be Fast ,Flexible and Easy to do business with for dealers and customers

•Focus team on delivering a consistent excellent service to all dealer and customers in the fast moving sector of used, LCV and compact construction Equipment.
• Manage day to day communication effectively with external customers and internally with Operations, credit teams and commercial sales.
• Help to deliver Point of Sale Solutions utilising Price Manager at all dealers
• Develop process to grow insurance sales in the responsible areas of business

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, develop, train and retain talented people for the Sales Desk Team alongside Sales Director
• Manage their Team on a day-to-day basis
• Demonstrate excellent staff motivational skills
• Demonstrate strong staff development skills
• To establish strong working relationship with all personnel by creation of two-way communication channels in line with company values and provide support to all business areas as required.
• Ensure cooperation / joint working with the field based TM team to drive business in all key areas (Used, LCV, Compact).
• Undertake dealer visits when necessary to meet business requirements.
• Share best practice between Credit & Operations teams where there is a need identified for improvement.
• To provide support to the Credit & Operations Management Team in achieving company objectives and deadlines.
• To ensure customer quality controls and work practices/procedures are regularly discussed
• Execute sales & marketing strategies towards the achievement of profitability and sales objectives
• Execute the captive approach and sales & marketing process according to defined standards
• Maximize growth and new business development with a strong focus on interest spread, fee income & insurance
• Manage and foster understanding between dealers and business areas to achieve goals and develop business relationships
• Build strong working relationships with the sales departments representing used, LCV and compact equipment
• Responsible for overseeing all quotation activity in the defined areas of responsibility
• Responsible for managing Sales Campaigns via Price Manager and reporting to Sales team
• Responsible for assisting in the compilation of any credit proposal associated with the relevant sales areas
• Responsible for contract documentation production and dispatch
• Proactive selling fee income services at the POS including all insurance products
• Implementation and embedding of the pricing systems and it’s processes across the relevant area
• Increase market coverage by improving volume and effectiveness of quotations using the Price Manager
• Support Territory Managers with Quarterly Key Dealer reviews where applicable
• Comply with all policies, directives and guidelines.
• Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including Corporate Governance, Anti-Financial
• Crime (Anti-Money Laundering), Anti Corruption (Bribery Act), Competition, Data Protection, the Consumer Credit

Candidate Profile

We are seeking applications from those sensibly & sustainably located within commuting distance of our clients West Midlands offices and with internal asset finance sales team leader experience , preferably of hard assets , trucks , LCV , construction

Applicants with assert finance internal sales leader experience of soft assets or sales aid leasing are also very welcome to apply.

Additional skills ,experience required include :

• Computer skills: Intermediate/High level of Microsoft Office.
• Proactive, highly motivated, methodical, a good communicator and with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work with the minimum amount of supervision.
• Willingness to be flexible and co-operate as a team player within a changing management environment.

Base salary range up to £35,000 + up to 10% of base salary bonus plus all usual large company benefits
