|J2324 - Our client is seeking a Area Sales Manager responsible for new business volume and income within a pre-defined geographical area through their own performance. This is a key role with responsibility for generating new business and building on existing relationships within the professions markets. You will have a range of finance products which include traditional asset finance, but will also extend to business loans, tax and VAT loans to cover both regulated and unregulated transactions. Salary: To £50,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Mids / N Home Counties.
Proactively sources sales from within the allocated geographical location either by directly prospecting the existing customer base, sourcing new customers or through manufacturer or supplier introducers.
Responsible to develop and maintain relationships with existing customers via telephone, emails, and face to face meetings.
Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets, negotiating terms of an agreement and closing sales, gathering market and customer information.
Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations, which may require time away from home at weekends.
Consistently review individual sales performance aiming to exceed targets.
Make accurate, rapid quotations and provide customers with the relevant information to close the deal.
Drive positive and collaborative behaviours from support staff to ensure that company's reputation of providing a high quality service is maintained.
Ability to structure and price transactions to ensure that company maintains its pricing disciplines and target margins are maintained due to understanding Lease, HP & Loan pricing.
Daily flexibility in managing returns but is responsible for ensuring that their transactions
blend to a target return.
Responsible for making customer proposals that meet and fit within credit and risk policy.
Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
Target driven with a numerate with analytical ability.
Excellent presentation skills.
Ability to think on their feet and deliver solutions.
Strong ability to plan and organise.
Practical problem-solving ability.
Enthusiasm and drive for generating revenue coupled with strong client focus, a flexible and resilient attitude.
Demonstrates an understanding of the business.
Previous knowledge and experience of the Asset Finance industry is required.
A proven track record within Asset Finance Sales.
