24th Mar 2017. Lewis Ballard Ltd - Velindre Cancer Centre
In March each year Lewis Ballard holds its annual Gold and Black Tie Charity Dinner. The theme in 2017 was "Fabulous Fifties".
Since 2010 when Lewis Ballard held its first Charity Dinner in aid of Velindre Hospital, their relationship with the hospital and its avid fundraisers has flourished. Directors Neil and Jan Ballard have also taken part in several extreme bike rides to raise money for the cause, including both riding from Boston to New York in 2015 and Neil and son Chris cycling across the Rockies in 2016. Not content with raising £111,550 to date, 2018 is set to be another big year starting with a 007 James Bond themed charity dinner on Saturday 24th March and a 6 day cycle from LA to San Fran for Neil and Jan in September.
In 2017 Lewis Ballard held an auction, filled with great prizes, from signed rugby shirts to football tickets, fitness sessions, and an interior design consultation. Professional Auctioneer Andrew Morgan oversaw the proceedings and helped to raise an amazing £3,500! Much to the ladies’ delight, it was then time for them to hit the dance floor and show off their fabulous dresses.
The final total came to an amazing £10,717.60.
